The Champions Challenge is a chance for all the school participating in the National School Program (NSP) to showcase their skills in golf (using SNAG equipment used in their PE classes), their Nine Core Values, their Nine Healthy Habits, and enjoy a day of fun!
At each competition, 11 schools select their best 5th grade players (7 boys, 7 girls) for a total of 154 students competing for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place for boys, girls, and overall school. Each student is given a golf shirt, golf hat, drawstring bag with goodies from local organizations, lunch, and an opportunity to show off “their mad golf skills.”
We service 22 schools so we conduct this event two times to accommodate all of our schools.
If you know of an organization, company, or person who would be willing to donate for this event, or you would like to be a volunteer, please contact Pamela Boyd at 252-288-5481, or email at Volunteers@TheFirstTeeENC.org.
We provide food to the volunteers, the participants, a healthy snack station, and so much more! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Our chapter is one of many in The First Tee network. The First Tee is reaching young people in all 50 states and select international locations on golf courses, in elementary schools and through other youth-serving organizations.
